RAEGE Azores Association is a non-profit and private association whose main field is scientific and technological, between Azores Government and SATA (Azorean Airlines), officially formed on 20/07/2017 to manage the scientific and technical activities associated to Fundamental Geodetic Stations of Santa Maria and Flores islands, with the following objectives:

1. Manage, administrate and coordinate all scientific and technical activities to be carried out at fundamental geodetic stations;
2. Develop scientific scope leading to the acquisition of new knowledge, products, processes, and services in the intervention fields;
3. Promote and support research and development activities in their main fields;
4. Reinforce the collaboration and connection between associates and scientific community, business and economic and social sector;
5. Stimulate cooperation with other entities, establishing national and international partnerships around common objectives to develop scientific and technological poles in the area of activity;
6. Coordinating, promoting, and participating in scientific and technological studies, projects, and programs;
7. Support local institutions to pursuit and promote sciences and technology policies;
8. Promote and coordinate courses and training actions aimed to improve and specialize, both national and foreign, scientific and technologic services;
9. Support local institutions to pursuit and promote sciences and technology policies;
10. Provide services to both individuals and groups, public or private, in its intervention areas;
11. Providing the registration of patents and their exploitation;
12. Participate in national and international contests that fit in its object;
13. Identify and select financial sources according to the associate scientific and technical activity;
14. Change and spread all technical and scientific information;
15. Management, administration, and coordination of infrastructures that may contribute to the promotion of research and development activities in the space and technology field or the other area included in the RAEGE activity.
