Between the 2nd and 12th of April 2022, the Azorean Mission Structure for Space (EMA Espaço), the Associação RAEGE Açores (RAEGE-Az), and the University of the Azores (UAç) were invited by the US Embassy to participate in an advanced training program (International Visitor Leadership Program) in the field of Space.
This program, organized by the US Department of State, in collaboration with American academic, business, and civil society entities, aims to provide guests with a chance to meet and discuss directly with representatives of partner entities in the US a specific theme and start, in this way, possible collaborations, in this case, dedicated to the space sector.
For two weeks, our engineers, João Ferreira, Mariana Moreira, and Diogo Avelar, together with members of EMA Espaço, visited a series of institutions of relevance to RAEGE-Az, such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston University, U.S Space Force, Air Force Research Laboratory, among other space scientific institutions.
